Hello, my name is Shelley McNeil, and I own and operate an exclusive woodworking business in Niagara, Ontario, where I have lived my entire life. As the proud owner of Uppercase Designs, "Interior Designs and Custom Woodwork," I specialize in crafting high-quality custom wood products and furnishings. My offerings have included a variety of items such as sofa tables, desks, floating shelves, mantels, work tables, built-in desks, stand-up desks, hot tub tables, bath caddies, and looms.

However, I have recently repositioned my business to focus exclusively on two popular products: Chunky Blanket Looms and Hot Tub Tables. From conceptualization to fabrication, I personally handle every aspect of the creation process, ensuring that each piece reflects my passion and dedication.

INSPIRATION:  My inspiration comes from my parents, Bob and Jean McNeil, who instilled in me, the values of hard work, humility, and family. Growing up in a family-run business, I witnessed their relentless work ethic and commitment to excellence. Despite raising six children simultaneously, they built a successful enterprise that served as a testament to their perseverance. As kids, we actively participated in the business, learning the importance of putting in extra effort and going the extra mile. Work was finished until the work was done.  My parents' success was a result of their honesty, integrity, and unwavering work ethic.

I am proud to have passed down these values to my three daughters, who are now married to patient and supportive son-in-laws. They have embraced entrepreneurship and are working tirelessly to build their own businesses while raising their children. As a grandmother to eight precious grandchildren, I am filled with gratitude and a sense of fulfillment. It's clear that the values instilled by my parents have transcended generations, and my children's dedication and hard work serve as an inspiration to their own children. I consider myself extremely fortunate to witness this legacy unfolding before my eyes, and I know that my parents' spirit lives on in every design I create.

By combining my passion for woodworking with the values instilled in me by my parents, I strive to create pieces that not only showcase exceptional craftsmanship but also embody the spirit of hard work, dedication, and family. Each creation is a tribute to my parents and a labor of love that I am honored to share with my clients.
