Designed to work with all Uppercase Designs looms, the Slide Top gives you the flexibility to upgrade your existing setup without starting over. And you can add the Pivoting Legs if ever you decide that you want to have the legs too.
For non-Uppercase Designs looms, we recommend adding the optional Loom Support Board for additional support and stability.

I'm new to loom knitting. What should I buy?
Many beginners start with the complete Pivot + Slide System, which includes the Pivoting Legs and provides a complete loom stand setup.
If you prefer to attach your setup directly to a table or counter instead of using Pivoting Legs, you can choose the Slide Top together with our NEW Slide Top Clamps.
Most customers start with the Original #7 Chunky Blanket Loom™.
As a general rule, the length of the loom determines the width of your finished blanket. Simply choose the loom length based on the approximate width you would like your finished blanket to be.

Will my loom work with the Slide Top?
The Slide Top is designed for all Uppercase Designs looms.
For non-Uppercase Designs looms, the optional Loom Support Board is recommended and can improve support and stability for many loom styles.

Do I need the Loom Support Board?
Most Uppercase Designs looms work well without it. However, we recommend the Loom Support Board for non-Uppercase Designs looms, hinged looms, sectional looms, longer looms, heavier projects, or loom designs that require additional support.
What size looms work best with the Slide Top?
The full sliding experience is optimized for looms up to 65" long.
Many customers successfully use longer looms as well. For longer looms, we recommend adding the optional Loom Support Board for additional support and stability.
While longer looms may reduce the overall range of sliding movement, the Slide Top still provides a more comfortable and efficient knitting experience.
What size table or counter will the Slide Top Clamps fit?
The Slide Top Clamps are designed to fit surfaces up to 2" thick and up to 1.875" deep.

Can the Slide Top Clamps be used without a Slide Top?
Yes. The NEW Slide Top Clamps can also be used directly with compatible Uppercase Designs looms, allowing you to securely attach your loom to a table or counter without requiring a Slide Top or Pivoting Legs.
At this time, all Uppercase Designs Pro Series Looms are compatible with the Slide Top Clamps.
Can I use more than one loom?
Yes. The Slide Top includes enough slider pads for two looms. Additional slider pads are available if you'd like to use more looms with the system.
What are the slider pads?
The slider pads are adhesive-backed hook-and-loop pads that attach to your loom and allow it to slide on the Slide Top.
The system includes enough slider pads for two looms. Once applied, the pads can remain on your loom, making it easy to switch between compatible looms.
What optional accessories are available?
Optional accessories include the Loom Support Board and NEW! Slide Top Clamps.
Is assembly difficult?
No. Basic assembly takes only a few minutes. Hardware, instructions, and an online assembly video are included.
