The missing link between your blanket idea and your finished creation. Take the guesswork out of your design. Plan your blanket colors row by row before you start knitting. Draw out a design too. Personalize it, get creative!
Choose Size → Choose Colors → Create Your Color Layout → Calculate the number of skeins → Save or Print Your Design. Already have access to the Tutorial bundle, choose a Pattern or use the straight Knit Stitch. Go to "My Tutorials" at www.UppercaseDesigns.ca. All pattern videos show how to make the pattern stitch in a video not the actual blanket you design.
1. Choose Your Blanket Size
Choose a standard size or create your own using the number of pegs and rows. Note: Changing the blanket size after starting your design will reset the blanket.
2. Choose Your Colors
Select a color, then click a row to color the entire row. Click the same colored row again to return it to Cream.
3. Create Your Color Layout
Row Mode — Color Entire Rows
Select a color and click any block to color the entire row. Click and drag up or down to color multiple rows.
Draw Mode — Color Individual Blocks
Select a color and click or drag across individual blocks to create your design.
Cream is the default color — simply leave any rows or blocks you want Cream as they are.
Your Color Plan
Save your blanket as an editable Uppercase Design file. You can come back later, open the saved file, and continue changing your colors and design.
Once your blanket design is finished, calculate the estimated number of 32-yard skeins needed for your blanket. A 5% yarn allowance is included automatically.
Once your yarn calculation is complete, print your finished blanket design or save it as a PDF to keep on your computer, tablet, or phone. Your yarn calculation will be included.
Color-Placement Guide
Row 1 is the bottom row. Rows count upward from the bottom. Columns / pegs count from left to right across the top.
