Ultra Skinny Blanket Loom
Designed for #6 Jumbo Yarn — Smaller Yarn, Refined Stitches
The Ultra Skinny Blanket Loom began as a custom loom inspired by one of our customers, Vanessa. Due to growing interest, we’re now offering it as a regular part of our loom collection.
Designed for #6 jumbo yarn (approximately ¼" thick), the Ultra Skinny Blanket Loom features slim, tightly spaced pegs designed to keep your yarn securely in place, with a design that makes using a hook/tool easier and more convenient.
Due to the smaller peg size and tighter spacing, a hook/tool is required for knitting with the Ultra Skinny Blanket Loom. A hook/tool is included with your loom.
Ultra Skinny Loom sections use a similar loom-board design and the same connections as all of our Uppercase Designs looms, making them fully compatible with the Pivot & Slide System and Slide Table & Clamp System.
Choose Your Loom Length
18" | 27" | 36" | 45"
Each Ultra Skinny Blanket Loom is double-ended and extendable. Use one length on its own or connect multiple lengths to create a larger loom.
When purchasing more than one, we recommend choosing different lengths to give you more options for finished blanket widths.
For example:
18" + 27" = 18" + 27" or 45" loom
18" + 36" = 18" + 36" or 54" loom
Simply add the individual lengths together to determine your maximum assembled loom length.
As with our other blanket looms and dependent on the tension, the assembled loom length is the approximate finished width of your blanket
Board Configuration
We will make every effort to provide each loom in the individual length selected. However, Uppercase Designs reserves the right to provide an individual loom length as two connecting sections when required for manufacturing or shipping.
For example, an 18" + 27" order may be supplied as:
18" + 27"
or
18" + (9" + 18")
Either way, you receive the full loom lengths ordered. A larger individual loom length will never be substituted for the size selected.
Modular & Replaceable
Ultra Skinny Loom sections are designed as individual, replaceable plates that integrate with our Ultra Skinny Blanket Loom Boards.
Ultra Skinny Loom plates are designed to be used only when attached to a compatible Ultra Skinny Blanket Loom Board and are not intended to be used independently.
If desired, you can change or add new Ultra Skinny Loom plates by simply removing the existing plates and attaching new ones to the same loom board. Removing and attaching new plates is quick and easy.
If an individual section is ever damaged, it can easily be replaced without replacing the entire loom.
Already have compatible Ultra Skinny Blanket Loom Boards? Ultra Skinny Blanket Loom Plates may be purchased separately by request, allowing you to reuse your existing boards and save on the cost of purchasing a complete loom.
Custom Ultra Skinny Option
Need a different peg diameter or peg spacing? Select Custom when ordering your Ultra Skinny Blanket Loom.
Custom peg diameters from 5/16" to 3/8" and custom peg spacing are available at no additional charge.
Customers selecting Custom should know the peg diameter and spacing required for their preferred yarn and knitting method. We will confirm your custom specifications with you before your loom is made.
