Hi Carol, Thank you very much for your review. For the tightness, you don't want it so tight that it's hard to take off to push the loop through. Just snug enough that it won't come off. I have made blankets before and had difficulty with inconsistent stitch size and blanket being shorter one one end. The loom helps keep my blanket consistent. It also turned out better because I followed the tutorial videos. I like how it comes in two pieces so you can use them individually for smaller blankets or put it together to make an extra large blanket.

My loom arrived about a week ago. I watched the videos and tried a few passes with the sample yarn, then immediately set to making a beautiful queen-sized blanket for a friend. It was a big project for the first time using the loom, but it pretty simple and took only a few hours (3-4 total). My friend and my kids loved it, and now the kids each have their own projects on the separate pieces of the loom. It’s been a great purchase!
